New Demon Introduced to Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance with Latest Patch

Developer ATLUS announced that a new patch has been released for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. This serves as a thank you to everyone that has been playing the game. Patch version 1.0.3 introduces a lot of new content along with some minor bug fixes.

The highlight of the new patch is the introduction of the brand-new demon Marici of the Kishin race. Players can recruit and unlock Marici for fusion by finishing the subquest "The Guardian of Light." If the subquest doesn't sound familiar, that's because it's also a new one added to the game. To accept the sub-quest, players need to peak at Goko in Taito Ward.

Six new Demon Navigators have also been added to the game. The demons appear at specific points in Da’at and can accompany players as Demon Navigators when spoken to. However, some of these Demon Navigators can only be unlocked after completing specific subquests. The Demon Navigators are Mara, Idun, Mothman, Fionn mac Cumhaill, Hell Biker, and Cleopatra.

Another new addition to the game is the "Elite Virtaul Trainers." What players need to do is first finish certain subquests. After that they can then take on a series of brutal battles versus powerful demons that appeared in those subquests by speaking to the female researcher in the terminal room at the Tokyo Diet Building.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance takes players to Tokyo which has been decimated. It's been reduced to an expansive wasteland and now being overrun by mythical demons. They get to roam across the wide and open areas while also exploring new locations to look for those life-saving items. Along the way they get to fight against various demons or meet new allies.

The game is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch. It's also out for the PC through its official website and Steam. The Standard Edition is being offered at $59.99. There's also the Digital Deluxe Edition, priced at $69.99, which not only has the base game but also three DLC Content which include Mitama Dance of Wealth, Mitama Dance of EXP, and Mitama Dance of Miracles. It also has two Demon Subquests which are Sakura Cinders of the East and Holy Will and Profane Dissent.
