New Exfiltration Mission Introduced in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

The latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is now live. It's available for the PC, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X/S. The new "Trygon" update introduces a lot of new content and one of these is the new mission.

The new "Exfiltration" mission is free and takes players to windswept Avarax. They're there for a new assignment as they take on none other than the mighty Trygon. This terrifying and towering new boss specializes in guerrilla tactics. In addition, Trygon is also known for the ability to burrow below defense lines and then harass its prey.

As mentioned, the new mission is free for all players. It is also the perfect occasion to try out the new secondary weapon which is the Inferno Pistol. The weapon is available for Sniper, Heavy, Assault and Vanguard classes.

Prestige Ranks in PvE

As reported in this site back in January, the new update introduces the Prestige system to the game. This one has players continue empowering their Class even after they reach the maximum level.

For example, when players manage to reach level 25, they can go to the Armouring Hall and follow the activation procedure in the Skill Tree screen. Once that's done they can unlock one Prestige Perk by resetting the Class' progress to the first level. Players can then work to raise the Class level to 25 again. This means a Class can have as much as four active Prestige Perks simultaneously with each prestige rank increasing XP gain by 10%.

Progressing Prestige ranks give players unique cosmetic rewards for each rank they unlock.
