Studio to Introduce New Content in Both PvP and PvE for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

The new year is here and that means it's time once again to see what's in the pipeline for some of our favorite RPGs. When it comes to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, developer Saber Interactive has new content planned for both PvP and PvE.

Fresh Content for PVP

In a post, the studio admitted that for 2024, players who love PvP may been feeling "left out." For this year, there's going to be a lot of new content coming to this aspect of the game. One of the things being worked on is a new PvP map. This one is set to be in a closed environment that features a lot of narrow passages. It should allow for more Closed Quartered Battles.

Players can also look forward to trying out Custom PvP lobbies. Once it goes live with Patch 7.0, they'll be able to do a lot of things like playing with modifiers and changing the number of players. They can also change the timer limit for each match and even maximum limit score. Indeed, there's a lot to look forward to this year for PvP.

New PvE Content

Of course, PvE won't be left behind. The Horde Mode is expected to come out sometime later this year. The studio shared that they'll give out more information once the release date is that much closer.

For Season 3, players can expect to have Prestige Rank added to the game. This should allow them to upgrade their class even further. In addition, new Operations and new Enemies are to be introduced as well and with it comes the content of the game being expanded. Players need to keep an eye out as well for a new difficulty level that brings with it new rewards.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 offers single and multiplayer modes where players are tasked with saving the Empire through an incredibly immersive third-person action gameplay. The thrilling, blood-soaked, and fast-paced third-person action has players fight against hundreds of enemies. They can try to defeat relentless Tyranid hordes in a spectacular new campaign alone or team up with up to 2 friends in a seamless, 3-player co-op mode.
