New Mission Available in Borderlands 4 with Bounty Pack 5

Rewards for the new mission include a new Pearlescent weapon and 6 new pieces of Legendary loot.

A new paid DLC for Borderlands 4 brings with it a new mission. It features a new boss along with two new mini-bosses. The Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows is available for $5.99.

The new mission is set in Kairos. This planet was forever changed with the cataclysmic arrival of the Elpis moon. However, it appears that the planet is now showing signs of coming apart completely. The Shards of Ordonite has continued to spread corruption. In addition, the recent appearance of unstable Phase rifts is now threatening to break the bonds of reality. The good news is that using her Siren powers and attunement to Phase energies, Amara has managed to pinpoint a possible source of the worsening instability. It's actually one of Vile Lictor's old laboratories and where Order Synths that once served him lie dormant.

This new repeatable mission has players team up with Amara to track down the Phase disturbances and stop their propagation before they unravel the known universe. Vault Hunters need to be ready for anything with these Phase rifts since there's no telling what they'll see on the other side.

To access the mission, players need to have finished the "A Lot to Process" mission in the Fadefields during the main campaign. After that they should be able to find the mission-starting chunk of Ordonite near any Bounty Board in the major hub areas. It should also be marked on the ECHO map as a new mission.

By farming the new boss, the two new mini-bosses, and new Vile enemy types, players get the chance to grab a new Pearlescent weapon, which is the AeroDramatic (Torgue Shotgun). Then there are the six new pieces of Legendary loot.

The new Bounty Pack is being released along with the Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, the details of which are available here. Then there’s Loveless the Hacker with information available here.

Borderlands 4 is a mayhem-fueled looter shooter, jam-packed with billions of weapons, deadly enemies, and intense co-op action. It’s launched for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. Borderlands 4 is also available for the PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
