Content Update 0.3.0 for Path of Exile 2 was released last week. The Third Edict introduces a new storyline and endgame changes. There's also a lot of new content added that includes gems.
Strength Skill Gem
Three new Strength Skill Gems have been added through the new update. The first is known as Fortifying Cry. It allows players to perform a Warcry that grants Guard and causes subsequent Shield Attacks to release an Empowered shockwave when dealing damage. The cooldown of the Skill can be bypassed by expending an Endurance Charge.
Next is the Forge Hammer where players can throw a fiery hammer that Slams into the ground and lodges there. While the hammer is lodged in the ground, it reuses the Skill and recalls the hammer and resets the Skill's cooldown. Alternatively, using a Warcry near the lodged hammer causes it to shatter and releases a number of Molten Fissures in a spiral.
Finally, there's Ancestral Cry. Players can perform a Warcry using Glory gained by Igniting enemies to turn them into an embodiment of Kaom. While embodying Kaom, their footsteps Trigger Volcanic Steps. Meanwhile, Melee Strikes and Slams are Ancestrally Boosted and Melee Attack Hits Trigger Volcanic Eruption.
Dexterity Skill Gem
For Dexterity Skill Gems, two have been added. First is Toxic Domain and has players create an area of Toxic Bloom on the ground around them. While in the Bloom, they have increased Skill costs, regenerate Life, and their Projectile Attacks attach a Toxic Pustule, which can be Poisoned. These Pustules Detonate after a duration or when enough Poison has been applied, dealing damage and applying Poison in an area around it.
Then there's the Ice-Tipped Arrows. It empowers the next Barrageable Bow or Projectile Spear Attacks to create Ice Fragments on hit. This Skill's cooldown can be bypassed by expending a Frenzy Charge.
Intelligence Skill Gem
One Intelligence Skill Gem and its Frost Darts. It conjures a number of icy Projectiles that launch towards the target. Projectiles that Hit a Chilled or Frozen target create chunks of ice that deal extra damage on impacting the ground. It consumes a Cold Infusion if possible to cause each Projectile to lodge into the enemy then explode.
