New Trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Shows Expanded Story

A new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has been released and puts the spotlight on the game's expanded story. Dubbed as "An Ideal World," this new trailer invites you to learn more about a post-apocalyptic Tokyo. You'll also get to see what the new storyline has to offer.

Two Story Paths

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance offers players two complete story paths. The first is the story that was originally told in Shin Megami Tensei V. It's titled as the "Canon of Creation" and focus on the eternal conflict with between angels and demons with the protagonist fighting for the fate of the world.

The second is a new story which is "Canon of Vengeance." This one tells the dramatic tale of revenge by the fallen. It focuses on new characters and an enigmatic cohort of demons known as Qadištu. In addition to plotting their own dark designs, they're also fighting against those who want to maintain order.

Pre-Order Bonus

There's still more than a month before the game officially comes out. That means you can pre-order the game and enjoy the bonuses. Those who pre-order the game get to receive two Sacred Treasure sets that's sure to help in them in the adventure. There's the "Gleam Grenade," which can deal a small amount of damage to enemies. The second is the "Haraedo Bead" and can recover HP for all allies. By the way, both of these sets can be used infinitely in battles.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Aside from the standard edition, players can opt to have the Digital Deluxe Edition. Aside from the base game, it also comes with these goodies:

  • DLC Content - Mitama Dance of Wealth
  • DLC Content - Mitama Dance of EXP
  • DLC Content - Mitama Dance of Miracles
  • Demon Subquest - Sakura Cinders of the East
  • Demon Subquest - Holy Will and Profane Dissent

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is coming to the PC through Steam. It's also launching for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
