It's that time of the year again when all things spooky come alive. In New World, it looks like Nightveil Hallow is back and sees the return of the Marquis of Terror. Beginning October 18 to November 14, do what you can to banish Baalphazu back to the darkness. Don't forget to join a trick-or-treat session and earn new candy rewards.
To get into the spirit of the event, new costumes are available. These are available and can be obtained from Town centerpieces and Baalphazu. The new costumes are Captain Thorpe, Adiana, Anubian Reaver, and Lost Monarch.
Defeat Baalphazu
During the event, you'll need to join other Adventurers to take down this Level 66 world boss. New rewards are available that include new armor pieces (5 times daily), new costumes (3 times daily), and Ichor.
Once you get Ichor, you'll need to head back to town and look for Salvatore the Mad. Prove that you've defeated Baalphazu and finished the Nightveil Hallow questline by brining him the Ichor. Once that's done you'll get the Nightveil Hallow Cache which contains 5 Nightveil Tokens; 2 random Nightveil Hallow weapon patterns; and access to the Nightveil Sentinel section of the Event Shop.
It doesn't stop there since you can collect additional Ichor from Baalphazu to get additional rewards. Salvatore then gives you one Nightveil Cauldron Cache in exchange for each Ichor. Each of the cache contains around 7 to 13 Nightveil Tokens along with one 1 Random Nightveil Hallow weapon pattern, Coin Bag (3 times daily), and 1 White Gypsum.
The Nightveil Tokens in particular can be used at the Event Shop to buy new and returning Nightveil Hallow rewards. You can view the list of rewards available here.
Trick-or-Treat
Once you're in costume, you can then go around town and look for the hidden Treat Baskets. These baskets have 2 Nightveil Tokens, available 3 times daily, and a new item which is candy. This is a limited-time consumable which comes in four flavors. By the way, the baskets also have a 10% chance of containing new Baalphazu armor pieces. Be sure to look for those Treat Baskets and see what surprises they have in store for you.
