New World’s First Expansion is Rise of the Angry Earth and Launches on October 3

The first expansion for New World is all set to be launched on October 3. Rise of the Angry Earth introduces a lot of new content that players are sure to love and priced at $29.99. New players meanwhile can get the base game and the expansion as part of the Elysian Edition bundle, which is being offered at $69.99.

First Light

The story focuses on an area previously known as First Light and located at the southeastern tip of Aeternum. This was once a welcoming place for all newcomers but its fields has since been laid to waste by the fury of the Artemis and the Angry Earth. Since that time, no one really knows what happened to the villages and people that were once in the area. In addition, a deadly barrier has kept out those who want to find the truth. The abundance of the earthly powers has resulted in the Beast Lords being awakened which could mean a threat for those in Aeternum. The silver lining is that the secret is now out when it comes to riding and even taming animals.

Summon Mounts

With the expansion, players can now summon a mount which should allow for faster travel in Aeternum. There are different mounts to summon that include master horses, dire wolves, and even lions. Each one comes with a unique look, customizable equipment, and a new that players can set. Players can also level up the Riding Trade Skill obtain upgrades like increased speeds, buffs, and higher tier consumable food.

New Progression

Another new feature arriving with the expansion is the increase in the level cap to 65 and the Gear Score to 700. Trade Skills meanwhile have been increased to level 250 and brings with it new items that players can gather, refine, and craft. There's also a new Faction Quest which when completed unlocks a new Faction that's loaded with gear and items.

Other New Content

This being the game's first expansion, there are a lot of new content in addition to what's already been mentioned. For example, there are Artifacts which is a new tier of weapons and armor. There's also a new weapon which is the Flail. This is a versatile one-handed weapon which gives players the option to have an offhand shield.
