Once Human Challenges You with The Way of Winter

A new PvE scenario is arriving i Once Human. This one challenge players to try and survive extreme temperatures.

The scenario begins when metas travel to the snow-covered land of Arkam. There they join forces with a faction of local survivors known as the Column. Together, they not only need to find ways to survive the extreme cold and heat but also discover what secrets are hiding within the mountains. That's not all since they also need to stop the dark plans of Igna, the leader of the Vultures. They also need to destroy the massive living machines which are causing climate disasters.

Welcome to Arkam

It goes without saying that the new PvE scenario opens up a new region which Arkam. Those able to get to this new region can access Onyx Tundra, Vena Fjord, and Ember Strand.

The region actually has 60 riddle spots divided into seven types which are [Frozen Loot Crate], [Ray Tracer], [Tiny Bear Balloon], [Doll Consortium], [Hoarder Rat], [Greedy Rat], and [Follow the Footprints]. Those who are able to complete a riddle spot challenge get to earn a special reward.

That's not all since The Way of Winter's map comes with 30 Scenic Viewpoints, a lot of which are typically found near locations with majestic natural or man-made wonders. Those who encounter a Lonely Camera while exploring can interact with it and get to obtain a Scenic Viewpoint reward/ This should unlock the corresponding Field Guide entry.

By the way, Precious Mystical Crates can also be found in the new region of Arkam and there are five for each sub-region.

Seasonal Phases

The Way of Winter is going to have five seasonal phases which lasts different days. Similar to the existing scenarios, the first four phases are the main gameplay phases. During the last phase, players can sign up for a new scenario and wait until it begins.

Here are the different phases and the numbers of days for each:

• Phase 1 - Arctic Domain (7 days)

• Phase 2 - Scattered Ash (8 days)

• Phase 3 - A Glimmer of Hope (10 days)

• Phase 4 - The End of Ice and Fire (10 days)
