Get ready for a new experience as Longvinter is now available on Steam. The game is currently available at 40% for a limited period.

In addition to the launch of the game, developer Uuvana Studios said that they are committed to releasing regular free content updates along with support to player-made mods. This should allow for fresh challenges along with discoveries waiting to be enjoyed by both veterans and newcomers alike. In a statement, CEO Niklas Nilsson revealed that the release of the game comes after three years of being in early access. There are at least five times more items and there's no question that the "content for the price is unbeatable."

Welcome to the Island

The game has players being assigned to travel to Longvinter Island where they have to research and learn everything that makes the island special. They'll also have to uncover what other organizations have desperately tried to hide. The expedition starts at one of many research camps around the island. They get to buy tools and sell any resources that they gather. Players can also invest in new and more advanced equipment as they compete against fellow researchers. They can team up, fight, or betray neighbours as players battle over valuable resources, and establish trade networks to secure what they need next.

PvP and PvE

The game has some interesting features that everyone can enjoy. For example, those who love PvP can make alliances as they try to defend and conquer new areas that they find valuable. After all, they’re not the only ones trying to succeed on the island.

Those who like to play on their own can enjoy the game’s PvE feature. Players get to face off against hostile mercenaries and uncover their secrets hidden in bunkers, cave bases, and massive oil rigs.

Things to Do

There’s a lot to do in the game. It invites players to a hand-crafted open-world where they can explore, learn, and take advantage of the surrounding nature. Aside from building, there’s crafting, farming, cooking, and even trading. The sandbox feature means that players can do whatever they want, wherever they want, with whoever they want.
