A new update is releasing later this week to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2: Heart of Chornobyl. One of the new content being added to the game are binoculars. There's three of them, in fact.
These three types of binoculars are now available to help stalkers scout the Zone, identify targets, and plan their next move. Each model features different technology and functionality. These can be found throughout the Zone or purchased from certain traders.
New Weapons and Scopes
The upcoming update also expands the arsenal with the introduction of four new weapons. These are:
- Arev: assault rifle.
- GP3A: designated marksman rifle.
- SKP: designated marksman rifle.
- Fora-230: submachine gun.
When it comes to these weapons, there's going to be a unique variant of each one that can be discovered somewhere in the Zone.
The same update also adds new optics like the x3 scope for Western-bloc weapons. There's also going to be a new red dot sight for Eastern-bloc weapons. Meanwhile, offset aiming has been expanded beyond NVG use and should give more freedom to customize their loadouts.
Fog Effect
Another interesting change coming to the game is that Fog is now going to be more than a weather effect. In particular, it's going to be a gameplay mechanic. How it works is that both stalkers and their enemies have reduced visibility and hearing when in fog.
