Salt and Sacrifice Invites You to a Realm Where Elemental Pandemonium Awaits

Salt and Sacrifice is inviting you to join other Marked Inquisitors in this online coop game. This title is the sequel to the highly acclaimed Salt and Sanctuary, released in 2016.
The game is set in a once-peaceful kingdom that has been plunged into chaos due to the encroaching tides of merciless embodiments of elemental chaos known as Mages. In this world, there are those who are called as The Marked Inquisitors. This is a doomed force of the condemned and has been called once again to stand against the existential threat of Magic. In a land that has been plagued with powerful and twisted Mages, it is now time for the condemned Marked Inquisitors take up the hunt. However, a buried secret threatens to bring an ancient empire to utter ruin.

You take on the role of one of these Marked Inquisitors and journey across the western frontier. You'll be pursuing, hunting, and obliterating the Mages that roam the realm. While you may be bound to the Inquisition, the choices are always yours.

Game Features

Salt and Sacrifice has you team up with a fellow Inquisitor in full online co-op and drop-in quickplay online co-op. You can also fight in fast and chaotic PvP through various factions.

To increase your chances at winning fights, you'll need to craft unique weapons and armor using the otherworldly flesh and bones of the Mages that you've destroyed. There are also dozens of powerful weapons and runic arts just waiting for you to master.

Gameplay

Like the previous titles, Salt and Sacrifice takes inspiration from the Dark Souls franchise. However, one main different is that rather than a large map, the game splits the world into five separate zones. To progress and unlock new areas, you'll need to obtain Mage hearts. In order to make that happen, you'll have to go on Mage Hunts where you chase down and then different the different boss characters.

As mentioned, the game features online multiplayer which was not available in the previous title. You get the chance to be part of different multiplayer factions like the Shroud Alliance where you get to will invade the session of another player and then them down. Another example is the Blueheart Runners which has the ability to summon enemies called Haze Burnt and kill the hosting player.
