Developer Boomer’s Workshop has announced that their action RPG title Sanctuary Saga will be launching on Steam on March 8th, 2023. The game offers players a unique experience by combining classic party-based RPGs with a new twist on group relationships and battles.
In Sanctuary Saga, players will be assembling a guild and guiding them through the dangerous Untamed Wilds while maintaining the group’s relationships with each other. The game features four unique biomes for players to explore, each with their own set of challenges and dangerous enemies. The turn-based combat system includes a row-based skill system, making row management and positioning key for each battle. Each hero in the party possesses six unique skills that can turn the tide of battle when used correctly.
Players will also be challenged with fighting mighty bosses, each with their own unique strategies, forcing players to think quickly to find the best way to take them down. Unique to the game is the argument meter, which must be monitored during battle, as a high meter can lead to party members refusing to keep fighting. This mechanic is also tied into the game’s relationship system, where players can form bonds with other party members, with good relationships making battles smoother and bad relationships leading to devastating defeats.
The game will feature 18 Mini-Boss Encounters and 17 Boss Encounters throughout the journey, as well as six unique heroes with their own skills and abilities. Aspiring guild members can wishlist the game on Steam now, and a demo will be available during Steam Next Fest from February 6th-13th. Players can also stay up-to-date on Sanctuary Saga by following the official Twitter account.
