It looks like battles in The First Descendant are taking an interesting turn with the addition of a new Descendant. Serena is a Ranged DPS that can eliminate enemies while also giving teammates blessings of protection.
Her Passive Skill is known as Divinity as allows her to receive bonus stats when in midair.
Sacred Flames
Her Active 1 skill is called Sacred Flame. What it does is fire flames in the direction of the crosshair and then deal damage while also inflicting Repentance on enemies as well as granting Blessing to allies. When used on the ground it penetrates terrain. Meanwhile when used in mid-air, it explodes on contact with the ground.
The Repentance effect deals continuous damage and lowers the Fire Resistance of the enemy and firearm attacks against enemies inflicted with Repentance have a chance to recover Rounds for the firearm in use. Blessing meanwhile heals Serena for a percentage of her Max HP every second.
Ascension
The Active 2 skill is called Ascension. This is a A toggle skill that drastically lowers gravity when used and gives various effects depending on the Rounds when attacking with a firearm in midair. These include:
- General Rounds: Increases Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Damage.
- Special Rounds: Deals AoE firearm damage to nearby targets based on the firearm damage dealt.
- Impact Rounds: Recovers MP on a critical hit.
- High-Power Rounds: Has a chance to deal additional Fire skill damage.
By the way, using it adjusts the Grappling Hook cooldown and Jump.
Soar
Soar is the Active 3 skill. When used on the ground, it allows Serena to soar high into the air. When used in midair, it allows her to move quickly in the input direction. By the way, when used in midair, holding down the skill key makes her move for a certain period of time.
Using the skill reloads the currently equipped weapon and resets the number of her Jumps.
Redemption
Then there's Active 4 skill which is Redemption. When used on the ground, it gives Prayer of Redemption to Serena and nearby allies. Then when used in midair, gives Redemption's Judgment to Serena.
The Prayer of Redemption significantly reduces incoming damage for a certain number of hits, and recovers HP and MP when the effect is removed. Redemption's Judgment meanwhile deals powerful additional AoE damage to the surrounding area based on Serena's HP when she attacks with a firearm.
