The game is based on the action comedy horror film Renfield released in 2023 and stars Nicolas Cage as Dracula and Nicholas Hoult as the titular Renfield. In the game, you take on the role of a servant that's been tasked by Dracula with a simple job which is to do his bidding for all eternity. It's a demanding gig but in turn you get mystic powers and immortality.

Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood features a single-player adventure which offers one-touch gameplay and combines it with that frenetic and room-based action to allow or a new roguelite experience. There are unique stages, dozens of enemies, and even diabolical bosses to fight. However, you do have enough weapons to allow for the bug-powered bloody rampage.
