Good Shepherd Entertainment and Artificer have released a new gameplay overview trailer for their upcoming turn-based strategy game, Showgunners. Set in a dystopian future, Showgunners is a reality TV show where contestants must survive hellish obstacle courses, ambushes, and challenges to win money, fame, or revenge. The game pays tribute to classic action movies like American Gladiators, RoboCop, and The Running Man.
In Showgunners, players must use their squad’s unique abilities to gain an edge over their opponents. They can swap places with enemies as Tybalt, overwhelm foes with Warden’s robotic strength, and find the perfect sniping position with Phantom’s cloak. Winning the love of the fans with exceptional plays earns better rewards to use in the heat of the action.
The game features dynamic puzzles and lethal traps in each unique level, and players must use both brawn and brains to survive. The show’s director is more than willing to throw out the rules to boost ratings for his corporate overlords, so players must watch out for surprise twists.
