Ubisoft announced that Skull and Bones is going to be available on Steam. The thing is, it's not going to take long since it's launching on the platform this Thursday, August 22. It's also the same day that Season 3 of the game is coming out.
With this, more players now have the chance to enjoy an adventure on the high seas. However, there's more to be excited about. That's because aside from the new content and new features, there are some mouse-and-keyboard improvements.
To celebrate the launch, the game is going to be offered at 60% off from August 22 to September 4 on Steam. For those who aren’t sure yet if the game is for them, a free trial is available beginning August 22.
Better PC Version
In a statement, the development team shared that they've always been look for ways to improve the experience on PC. While the game had been available for the PC, it was accessible only through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. Going back to the Steam version, it appears as if the team once again looked into the keyboard-and-mouse user controls and realized they wanted the game to more "PC" especially when players were using keyboard and mouse.
After the implementation of the different improvements, the team hopes that the game should now have a more mouse and keyboard feel to it. In fact, one of the improvements the team revealed was on the new shortcut bar. Unlike the original version, this improved now is now more consistent with what PC players expect.
Battle on the High Seas
In the game, players are invited to take part in devastating battles by crafting a dozen different ships and then equipping the fleet with powerful loadouts. They get to unlock stronger weapons as they progress and can even customize the ships to better reflect their unique pirate playstyle.
The game takes players to the Indian Ocean where they explore a vast open world that’s teeming with cutthroat pirates, deadly sea monsters, supernatural threats, and devastating storms, to name a few. There are also a lot of endgame opportunities and even new exciting features which have been designed to enhance the pirate experience.
