Songs of Conquest Welcomes Mixed Factions in New Update

A new update is now live in Songs of Conquest and introduces one of the goals revealed in the Roadmap. In particular, players can now enjoy Mixed Factions.

In this new game mode, players get to command all troops and settlements from each faction. This avoids the need to convert or even raze settlements. In addition, it also allows players to mix and match units and come up with a combination that they like.

With the introduction of this new game, the core part of the game's strategy should have a new dimension. After all, with each unit and faction bringing with them their own unique essence, Mixed Factions let players create armies through combinations that were not possible before. For example, players can have the best Essence-generating units from the different factions and have then use Destruction spells. How does that sound?

In a post, the development team revealed that to complement the release of the new game mode, two new maps have been added which are specifically designed for Mixed Factions. These are Unexpected Allies and Under One Banner. With these two maps, players can get you quick access to the different factions.

Now for those wondering why the team went with this update, it turns the reason what that it was "simply fun." There's no question that the new game mode offers new and exciting possibilities whether new to the game or a seasoned veteran. The team went on to say that the goal has been to offer "as much variety as possible" and this new game mode is first step to achieving that.

Other Changes

Aside from the addition of Mixed Factions, there's also a lot of changes implemented with the new update. For example, the team has managed to solve the issue which was affecting Sim turns along with improving the vision range for Wielders when it comes to Adventure maps.
