The highly anticipated release of the game Space Wreck is right around the corner. This retro, post-apocalyptic RPG, inspired by Fallout, promises a gaming experience that's "inch wide but miles deep." With an impressive "Very Positive" rating from 87% of players during its Early Access phase, Space Wreck seems poised to offer an engaging and expansive RPG experience that supports multiple gameplay styles, including entirely non-lethal routes.
The game's story trailer can be viewed here:
Space Wreck is set on a desolate space station, 20 years after a significant conflict over asteroid mining. The game features old-school tactical turn-based combat with action points, dice rolls, and grid-based movement. However, role-playing is at the heart of Space Wreck. Players can become whoever they wish, playing however they want to. There are multiple ways to handle any situation, tied to your character's skills and abilities. Combat is completely optional, meaning you can complete the game without killing anyone, or you can take a more violent approach - it's entirely up to you.
According to the developers, a typical Space Wreck quest will have between 3 to 8 unique ways to complete it. The game’s map is as open as reasonably possible, considering the setting is a stranded spaceship. Your approach to characters, quests, and the order in which you complete locations will trigger different events and lead to various endings. So, in Space Wreck, no one can hear you agonize over your choices.
Space Wreck will be available on Steam.
