Star Wars: The Old Republic Improves Activity Finder

Game Update 7.7.1 for Star Wars: The Old Republic was released last week. It's dubbed as the "Flashpoint Resurgence" and brings with it a lot of new content. There are also improvements introduced and one of these is one the Activity Finder.

The improvements made to the UI and functionality of the Activity Finder Window was to allow for more support for Combat Styles. The new Group Role dropdown for example allows players to choose all roles they are eligible for in the Group tab that include the roles from both Combat Styles.

Players can now adjust their Combat Styles as they wait for PVE group content. Once the queue pops, the updated Join Window now displays the player’s current Combat Style selection and they'll need to be sure to match what the Group Finder required role is prior to joining. For convenience, a quick link to Combat Styles and Loadouts has also been added. Players need to be mindful of the Loadouts they are using and update as needed.

Players should be happy to know that they can now earn the Daily Reward Bonus and Weekly Mission credits even if they don't select every piece of content in the filter. In the Activity Finder UI players get to see two numbers next to each other to explain this information as total available pieces of content and minimum number selected to receive rewards.

Improvements for F2P/Preferred Players

With the new update, F2P/Preferred players can now:

  • Gain access to companion customizations.
  • Gain access to use Legacy Titles.
  • Earn Rest XP.
  • Gain the first Cargo Bay for free.
  • Use the Hide Head slot.
  • Withdraw more credits from Escrow when using Cartel Coins.
  • Additionally, all account types will have access to all quickbars.
