Studio Reveals Changes to Roadmap for Neon Abyss 2

Veewo Games announced that they're making changes to the Early Access roadmap for Neon Abyss 2. The reason for this was to allow the development team to work on the things that are important to players.

Neon Abyss 2 was launched in Early Access back in July 2025. Since then, the game has seen some interesting changes. In September 2025 for example, a few months after the release, the studio introduced the Ban System. Then by November, a new boss was added along with a new character Mira. There's also an additional free DLC. The latest update came out last week and you can read more about that here.

Old vs New Roadmap

In the previous roadmap released, a Curse System was scheduled to come out in March along with a new boss. Then the next one scheduled this year is May with another new boss and accompanied by a new agent. By July, players can look forward to a new Titaness and even more dark bosses.

So what changed? So far it's only for the March update. Instead of a Curse System, there's now going to be a Weapon Affix System. In a post, the studio shared that they took their Artistic Vision and balanced it against the improvements. For now, there's no schedule on when the Curse System is coming out.

Another minor change is that the bosses have been exchanged. Aphrodite is now releasing in the March update while Erinyes has been delayed to the May update.

Neon Abyss 2 invites players to dive deeper into the chaotic and beautifully pixelated Abyss. This time around the action is faster with the stakes even higher. In addition, the possibilities are truly endless in this cybermyth roguelike. The game offers explosive run 'n' gun gameplay and combines it with diverse combat styles and unlimited item synergies.
