Gearbox Software announced that it is releasing Bounty Packs for Borderlands 4. These are paid DLC that introduce narrative content along with new gear and cosmetics. Bounty Pack 1 is titled "How Rush Saved Mercenary Day" and is coming out on November 20.
To get the Bounty Pack, players can buy it individually. They can also get the Bounty Pack Bundle which contains the Bounty Pack 1.
Saving Mercenary Day
Bounty Pack 1 puts the focus on Rush, the affable leader of the Outbounders. He's been feeling homesick and nostalgic for the holidays he had experienced in the past. According to his calculations, Mercenary Day is just around the corner, this is a jolly time for gift-giving and gunslinging with friends and family. Rush wants to bring back this festive cheer to those in Kairos.
The problem is that this plan for holiday merriment stands in direct opposition to Screw. This is the Minister of Culture of the Timekeeper and tasked with keeping celebrations as bland and homogenous as possible. Through a series of missions, Vault Hunters need to show Screw the true meaning of Mercenary Day by any means necessary and along the way get their hands on some new Legendary loot in the process.
Vault Card
Bounty Pack 1 comes with a Vault Card that offers new rewards which can be earned through gameplay. There are 24 cosmetic items to unlock and 4 pieces of rerollable gear on offer. The rerollable gear in particular can be earned as many times as players. The Bounty Pack 1 Vault Card loot contains:
- 4 rerollable weapons
- 4 Vault Hunter Heads usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 4 Vault Hunter Skins usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 5 Weapon Skins
- 5 Vehicle Skins
- 4 ECHO-4 Drone Skins
- 2 ECHO-4 Attachments
