A while back, Starry Studio revealed some news on Lightforge Loot Crates in Once Human. The focus then was on the probabilities. A new update to this feature has been released and it gives more information.
The studio shared that players need to spend Lightforge Ingots to open these Lightforge Loot Crates. Each of these Loot Crates are guaranteed to yield cosmetics. While only one character under each account can redeem and open a single Loot Crate, the cosmetics obtain from the Loot Crate can be used by all characters under that account.
Getting the Crates
Lightforge Loot Crates are going to be available for a limited period and to be removed after the event ends. Any unused Lightforge Ingots and Lightforge Relics continue to be available in the account of the players and can be used for other Lightforge Loot Crates. That said, opening each crate costs 1 Lightforge Ingot, which is valued at 160 Crystgins. That may be a bit pricey but not to worry since the first 10 Lightforge Ingot purchases are going to be at half price. Each crate randomly gives players a Lightforge Crystal or cosmetic reward. Once the maximum number of crate openings is reached, no further openings are allowed.
A New Mechanic
Players should be happy to note that a new mechanic has been implemented for Lightforge Crystals. Players can draw and then use Lightforge Crystal I, II, and III, to choose a rewards from the Treasure (I), Legend (II), and Grand (III) Lightforge Collection respectively. By the way no duplicates are allowed.
In addition, there's a limit to the number of Lightforge Crystals that can be drawn per Lightforge Celebration Crate theme. A special guarantee rule applies and the first one is that every 30 crates guarantees one Lightforge Crystal with the number of Lightforge Crystals drawn not exceeding the number of corresponding selectable Lightforge Collection items. Now once a Lightforge Crystal is obtained, it's removed from the prize pool, which increases the odds of other rewards.
Other rules to keep in mind are:
- When a Lightforge Crystal is drawn, the guarantee counter resets, and the next one can be obtained within 30 crate openings.
- After all Lightforge Crystals are drawn, the guarantee no longer applies, and only other repeatable rewards can be obtained.
