Vampires: Bloodlord Rising was released in Steam Early Access last week. With the journey officially started, Mehuman Games shared what they're planning for the game.

In a post, the studio shared that the roadmap was developed around one core goal and that is to grow the game together with players by listening to and assessing feedback and suggestions. It was during the last playtest that allowed the team to get a clear idea of what their "next steps should be."

First Update

The studio said that for the game's first major update, the plan is to expand "rumours." By speaking with villagers, players can collect rumours that help them decide which villagers to turn into vampire servants. In addition, it should give them hints about the bonuses they may gain after the transformation. The studio went on to say that they want to deepen the system by introducing different grades of rumours. In addition, they'll be giving negative rumours a stronger gameplay impact to create better balance and more meaningful choices.

Second Update

For the second update, the studio revealed that they'll be giving players the ability to choose whether they want to rule benevolently or rule cruelly. Then based on that, players can then fulfill village quests. It's important to keep in mind that the decisions made influence village wealth.

The studio also said that building is another area that a lot of players love and the plan is to keep expanding it. This update introduces new buildable elements, structures, and even materials that allow for more creative freedom. There's also going to be a new type of enemy that starts roaming each region.

Third Update

Finally, for the third major update, the plan is to add a new type of crafting station. The Enchanter’s Station allows players to upgrade and enchant items. Meanwhile, the Inquisition gains new special effects in each region and thus makes combat encounters more varied.

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising offers a dark and open-world adventure where players awaken as a Vampire Lord. They get to build and customize their castle. They can hunt for blood, fight, craft, and gather. Get Vampires: Bloodlord Rising on Steam now.
