Studio Ups Excitement for AWAKEN - Astral Blade with First Contact

There's still a little over than one week before AWAKEN - Astral Blade is launched. To heighten the excitement, developer Dark Pigeon Games has released First Contact. This is an action-packed Prologue that's now available on Steam and offers fans a quick long into the dark Metroidvania world along with the bionic protagonist known as Tania.

First Contact features thrilling, fast-paced and side-scrolling action where players get to join Tania as she tries to learn more about the mysteries that's hidden deep in the jungles of Horace Islands. It also teases players not only with the gameplay but even the story reveals.

But wait there's more! The team over at Dark Pigeon Games also made a new gameplay walkthrough video which offers a look at the first 45 minutes of the First Contact Prologue. The video shows Tania begin her journey and see the action unfold as she journeys deeper into the mysterious Horace Islands. Watch that video here.

Tania's Journey

AWAKEN - Astral Blade tells the story of the bionic girl Tania. She’s been sent to the rainforests of the Horace Islands in search of a missing research team. However, Tania soon learns that Karpas energy flooding all throughout the island and has turned animals and plants into deadly mutants.

As she travels further inside the forests, Tania discovers the centuries-old remains of Jacha City. It’s a long-lost civilization that has long thought to be extinct. There she also discovers the former Royal Altar and ground zero of the Karpas energy source. It is here that Tania’s adventure starts as she discovers ancient secrets which have been buried deep within the ruins.
