The Age of War is no longer in Conan Exiles. A glorious time is upon us all with the arrival of the Age of Heroes. There's going to be new quests to take on and even the addition of two new Companions. Prepare as well for exciting changes to the living settlements.
Before we look into some of the new content coming out, the biggest change of course is that there won't be any Battle Pass. This won't be a surprise to most players considering that it was announced back in June of this year. The development had revealed in a statement at the time they spent in coming up with a new Battle Pass was "better spent spread across several other areas of development."
New Companions
That said, let's take a look at the two new major additions starting with the new Companions. The first one is the Khitan sorcerer Liu Fei who players get to meet after a disembodied voice summons them to a perilous situation east of the Celestial Plaza. There they get to learn more about Liu Fei and his struggle to survive.
Meanwhile, a billowing black smoke leads players to the Highlands where they meet the Aesir warrior Freya. A tragedy has befallen this mighty warrior and it's up to the players to help her in overcoming her demons.
Aside from the epic questlines, each of the companies also have offer perks which are unique to them based on the actions of the players during their story.
Living Settlements
There are also exciting changes to Living Settlements. Before, workers were simply items placed at their assigned workstations. Now they're living and breathing people. They now go about their business doing different activities. They'll also behave based on their needs and look at the base on how to fulfill those needs. For example, if the followers need to rest, they may look for a cozy spot by the fire.
Indeed, these are just some of the new content and exciting changes that arrived with the Age of Heroes.
