The Biggest Update for Dauntless to Come Out this Thursday

Phoenix Labs announced that the most transformative update ever for Dauntless is releasing on December 5. Dubbed as the "Awakening," it's going to be available on all platforms. In addition, cross progression allows players to continue their adventures no matter the platform. In addition to starting a new era, the first season of Awakening has a bunch of new content.

One of the highlights of the update is the introduction of the game's newest Behemoth which is the Karkonos. What makes this one a bit different than the rest is that it was made possible through a collaboration with the Dauntless community. This epic encounter happens in the hunting ground of Twilight's Domain. Those who succeed get the chance to obtain parts that can be used to craft the Brineguard Armor Set.

New Weapons Available

The upcoming update also adds 18 new weapons with seven of them unlocked through early quests. These include the Golden Claws and Silver Sword. There’s also an additional 11 weapons that players can earn through Weapon Tokens. These tokens can be obtained through weekly challenges in both free and paid track of the new Hunt Pass.

Each weapon comes with a unique special ability and can be powered up to Level 60. These weapons also have 25 unlockable Talents that include boosts to special, active, and passive abilities. To help players in levelling up their weapons, they’ll be able to equip both a weapon and subweapon, with both gaining equal XP.

Hunt Passes

The studio reminded everyone that when the new update drops, it marks the return of the “one true Hunt Pass” each season. The pass is going to last only for the duration of the current season.

Because of this, all Vault Passes and Event Passes are set to be retired and no longer offered in the future. Items from them though may appear over time in other sources like the Store. Meanwhile, those who bought a Vault or Event Pass but have yet to complete them, these are planned to be auto-completed as part of the new update.
