If you're looking for an open and freeform adventure RPG, then head on over to Steam and check out The Bloodline. The game has players take on the role as divine protectors in the land of Eudros but ultimately it's up to them to make a decision whether they'll adhere to that fate. It's set to launch on Steam Early Access this October 5.

The game is being developed by Miles Whittaker, who is the founder and sole developer for Shieldbearer Studios. For him the game is a very personal project. He shared in a statement that he had been looking for a game that was a freeform sandbox RPG and since he couldn't find one he decided to make his own. Indeed, The Bloodline can be described as a true sandbox RPG since it opens the world to the players and invites them to experiment with the mechanics of the game. They can do the same with the setting and characters, all to ensure that their playthrough is truly unique.

Explore a Vast World

One of the key features of the game is that it invites players to explore a vast world. There's a lot of different biomes to discover, each one having unique flora and fauna. There are also some impressive landmarks like magnificent castles, dangerous dungeons, blooming towns, and mysterious lakes, to name a few.

Players can choose to help the people of Eudros by following questlines. They can also roam the world at their own pace and let those organic adventures start. Players can also use foresight to plan their adventures. This is an ability where they can see what events are going to happen in the near future.

Play and Earn Rewards

The world is there for players to enjoy and experience how they want it. They can join guilds for example or hunt those magical creatures. They can even take things slow and just be a bard and sing at the local tavern. Almost each action has a level associated with it. So that best advice is to go out there and do it.

Players can also craft equipment and even brew potions. There is indeed a lot to do for everyone.
