The Dark Energy has finally descended and is now in Abiotic Factor. This is the second major update released for the game and it expands the main story while at the same time introduces a new sector.
Indeed, as players work their way downwards, they'll need to prepare for the battlefields below. There's also a spell in the beautiful Power Services. Players have to keep an eye out for the Reactors, which is a large and unusual place. There's also the Facility, which pretty much speaks for itself.
New Faction
The new update introduces players to the brawn behind the GATE. Known as the Gatekeepers, their agenda leaves little room when it comes to negotiation. While there are questions that are sure to be answered, it's important to know that some questions are also going to be asked.
Traveling Trader
Meanwhile, Marion seems to have found his way to the GATE Cascade Research Facility and is not afraid to show what he's offering to everyone. All traveling traders are going to be lure-able by placing a unique object in their base. After that they'll come and go on different days of the week.
Fast Travel
As players venture through the Reactors, one of the things they'll find is new technology. These are the Teleporter Pads, which some claim as inspiration and others say it's luck. By placing down a teleporter and then linking it to another, it results in an instant gateway between two points. The catch is that it's a bit expensive. That means it's time to save and until then maybe take the trams.
Hardlight Technology
Another interesting thing about the GATE is the hardlight technology. This technology can create bridges and even bounce bullets, to name a few. It's said that there's a chance it could provide some protection that has never been seen. Since someone at the GATE has clearly figured it out, players need to do the same.
Abiotic Factor offers a multiplayer open world survival crafting game and introduces a sci-fi twist along with rich character progression. A maximum of six players can see if they have what it takes to survive the depths of an underground research facility.
