The Day of Atonement Begins in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

The Day of Atonement is finally live in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. This in-game event tests the might of players in favor of their patron to prove their fervor and repent for their sins. It runs until December 22.

The in-game event has Sister Hestia Prine sharing that disturbing news has reached them from the poorer hab zones in Tertium. It appears that the recovered rations that were recently distributed appear to have been tainted. As a result, a great sickness has now spread across these areas. This is why according to Sister Prine, her masters in the Ecclesiarchy have called for a Day of Atonement.

That said, to make progress in the event, players need to take on missions with the Atonement condition. They also have to interact with the shrines presented in the missions and defeat the enemies which show up after activation. Along the way players can also gather holy relics for additional event progress. Those who pray at the Blessed Shrines and search for holy relics can unlock these rewards:

  • 200: 50,000 Ordo Dockets
  • 600: 3,000 Plasteel
  • 1000: 4,000 Diamantine
  • 1600: 3,000 Plasteel
  • 2500: 100,000 Ordo Dockets
  • 3600: New Insignia
  • 4500: 500 Aquilas
