ZeniMax Online Studios announced that Update 50 for The Elder Scrolls Online is now on the Public Test Server. This means that the new features being worked on can now be tested. Players can access it through the PC/Mac ESO Launcher.

In a post, the studio shared that the upcoming update brings with it several systems that aim to give players more flexibility and agency around the way they play and are rewarded. One of those systems is the Challenge Difficulty, which is a new opt-in system for players to customize their difficulty experience.

Then there is the PvP PvP Veterancy. It's a new system that rewards players who participate in Cyrodiil, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds with unique cosmetics, titles, consumables, perks for Vengeance and more. Finally, Class Mastery is a new feature that grants access to powerful passive effects for characters that have reached level 50 in their native class skill lines and are not actively subclassing.

Update 50 is also expected to update the Werewolf refresh from the Combat Refresh Team. Changes planned include the introduction of two new Werewolf models. There’s also the addition of new mechanics to the Werewolf. Overall, the PTS is a chance for players to provide feedback for adjustments and/or changes that need to be made. The studio went on to say that this PTS cycle has players test out the new Thieves Guild and Sheogorath Quest lines, which is releasing in Season One. Players can also test the new Favors system. As usual, there's also the quality of life improvements which are a "bit bigger in scope for U50."
