A new season is coming out to New World this December with Eternal Frost. Not only does it celebrate Winter Convergence but also invites players to conquer the Glacial Tarn Expedition and even fight against a Knight of the Round Table. This new season starts December 12.

Eternal Frost follows the story of a Knight of the Round Table who has managed to learn the forbidden knowledge of the Ancients and now looking to subjugate humanity using the power of an eternal winter. With this, players need to gather their team of Silver Crows and try to convince the surly fire mage named Daichi to track down and defeat the Knight.

New Expedition

The upcoming season also introduces the Glacial Tarn. This is a Level 65 Expedition that's set in the Great Cleave. In this one, players get to explore the cavernous frozen complex hidden which is beyond the Empyrean Forge as they go after the Varangian Knight Ser Loth. What needs to be done is find and then harness the primordial magic of the Empyrean Flame. This should allow players to overcome enemies as well as destroy obstacles that's been imbued with Ice Magic. Of course, it can be used to defeat Ser Loth before his power consumes all of Aeternum.

New Artifacts

Eight new artifacts are just waiting to be found and equipped, which is sure to redefine the playstyle of the players. In addition these weapons and armor come with their own quests. Examples include the Boltcaster Bow which can stun and shock enemies while Winged Shoes not only increases speed but also lowers cooldown.

Seasonal Events

The new season also brings with it season events. First up is the return of the Winter Convergence Festival. Players need to visit the Winter villages and look for the Winter Wanderer who is going to hand out holiday quests. There are also Winter Tokens to be obtained which can let those who have them earn new limited-time rewards that include festive skins, emotes, and housing items, to name a few. Players also need to form a party of at least 20 members and try to see if they can defeat the open-world boss, the Winter Warrior who wants to spread a Forever Winter across the land.

Another event is the Legacy of Crassus, which is focused on hunting down the monstrous captains of General Crassus. Those brave enough to fight these world bosses can look for portals which are located in Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove. The who win against them can get new event-specific and daily rewards.

New World is available for the PC on Steam.
