Nexon announced that two new winter updates are releasing for its free-to-play fantasy MMORPG Mabinogi The first one is Beyond and is already live. The second one is Arcana: Dark Arts and set to come out on December 14.
The highlight of the Beyond update is the renewal of the part-time job system. In Erinn for example, the experience gained for completing part-time jobs have increased. That's not all since now it's possible for you to choose the reward that you want once you complete a job. In addition, the part-time job count doesn't reset anymore with the amount of part-time job participants also increased.
Another interesting change is that locals who are looking for help can now post their part-time job requests on one large community bulletin board. This should make it easy to look for part-time jobs to take on.
New Tutorial
The update also introduces a new spirit weapon tutorial. This one has none other than the adorable Eiry awakening from her slumber and teaching both beginners and veterans about Spirit Weapons. The thing is, while Spirits can be feed with their preferred type of gems to get bonus EXP, you can give Eiry any of the 11 newer types of gems. Then there's also the fact that while for any levels where Spirits receive bonus Ego Points depending on their Bond level, Eiry on the other hand always receive the maximum possible points regardless of her Bond.
The Second Update
The second winter update is Arcana: Dark Arts and to be released on December 14. It’s going to introduce new Arcana talents as well as powerful skills. Players can also look forward to seeing improvements to both enhancement and enchantment.
Mabinogi was first released to the North America region back in 2008. This immersive and free-to-play MMORPG invited players to a world where mystical adventures await. The game had players create their very own anime-inspired heroes through the thousands of customization options, that include outfits, hairstyles, and even facial features, to name a few. They can also choose from dozens of talents ranging from professional gunslingers and archers to musicians, tailors and cooks. The game let players enjoy on their own terms where they can go on the perilous path of an adventurer or instead build a thriving business using unique trade skills.
