If you're one of those who have long wanted to join the fight in Fate/Samurai Remnant but unsure on how to proceed, then we have good news. Developer Omega Force and publisher KOEI TECMO announced that a free demo of the game is now available. It can be accessed for the PC through Steam as well as consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Indeed, this should be good news for those who want to see if the game is for them before buying it.

Over at Steam for example, the game is priced at $59.99. There's also a Digital Deluxe Edition which is offered at $99.99. This one not only has the game but also has the digital artbook and soundtrack. That's not all since the Digital Deluxe Edition comes with the Fate/Samurai Remnant Season Pass and the Season Pass Bonus item which is the "Hallowed Relic Sword Mountings."

Fate/Samurai Remnant is set in Edo Period Japan where different factions are involved in a Holy Grail War. The demo puts players at the start of this war. In particular, it lets you experience the encounter of the protagonist Miyamoto Iori and his servant Saber up to their first fight versus Rider and Lancer. Players are sure to love the thrilling action along with being able to explore Asakusa town. This version is one that can be enjoyed not only by longtime fans but also those new to the series. In addition, save data from the demo version can be carried to the full version.

Upcoming DLC

The launch of the free demo also comes at a time when DLC vol. 1 is set to be released. Titled as "Record's Fragment: Keian Command Championship," it's coming out this February. For this upcoming DLC, the boss of Babyloni-ya has summoned Masters and Servants to a mysterious arena. Without any explanation, he reveals the start of the Keian Command Championship.

Fate/Samurai Remnant was released in September 2023 and features hack-and-slash combat similar to musou gameplay. What makes it different and considered as an action RPG is the dodging elements along with being able to look for openings during a fight.
