The backdrop of Fate/Samurai Remnant is the 4th year of the Keian Era, during the Edo Period. It paints a picture of a peaceful society following the cessation of a tumultuous, war-torn era. However, beneath this peace, the shadows are stirring with the impending “Waxing Moon Ritual” that will ignite a battle between seven pairs of Masters and Servants.
Players will embody the character of Miyamoto Iori, a young man living in Asakusa, unwittingly thrust into the chaos of a Holy Grail War. In the Waxing Moon Ritual, combatants, in pairs of Masters and historical Heroic Spirits, Servants, are locked in a fierce struggle for the mightiest of prizes— the omnipotent Waxing Moon’s Vessel — leading only one duo to victory.
Fate/Samurai Remnant also provides players with a riveting exploration feature, enabling them to traverse the vibrant towns of Edo. Each town rich with traditional homes, samurai dwellings, and places of social gathering, bringing Edo’s bustling atmosphere to life. Through exploration, varied quests, and dynamic character encounters, players will uncover the underlying plot behind the Waxing Moon Ritual.
Moreover, the game boasts an alternating gameplay mode where players can switch between controlling a Master and a Servant. The duo must combine their strategic prowess against formidable enemy Servants and massive beasts. Utilizing Link Strikes and Affinity Techniques, players can sway the momentum of skirmishes and ensure their survival.
Fate/Samurai Remnant is overseen by Kinoko Nasu from TYPE-MOON with Rei Wataru in charge of character design. Story Supervisors include Hikaru Sakurai and Yuichiro Higashide. In partnership with ANIPLEX and with opening animation production by CloverWorks, this KOEI TECMO GAMES project promises to offer an immersive gaming adventure.
Pre-orders will secure a special bonus, the Phantasmal Dress “Miyamoto Musashi” (Costume). The Digital Deluxe Edition is enriched with the main game, a digital artbook, a soundtrack, along with a season pass that includes three additional episodes and equipment bonus, the Hallowed Relic Sword Mountings.
