Bungie announced that Heresy Act I has been released for Destiny 2. This is the final episode to be released in the year of The Final Shape. It's going to introduce a lot of new content like a new story, new activities, and even new subclass Aspects.
One of the new features added is the new three-player activity that's dubbed as "The Nether." This one has Guardians storming the Dreadnaught in an attempt to stem the tide of Taken from descending onto the planets and moons of the Sol system. This new activity is inspired from Shattered Realm and The Coil. In particular, The Nether offers players different playthroughs of randomized patrol zones, encounters, and objectives. It's all available for solo players along with fireteams.
Players can earn boons of various intensity that they can then use to empower their abilities and weapons. Different challenges are also active like no health regeneration and limited ammo drops, to name a few.
The Weapons
Players can also look forward to seeing new and returning weapons added to the loot pool. It's been refreshed to have that updated perk pool and enhancement capabilities. The new update also introduces improvements to the Vault of Glass weapons. This now has updated perks and can be crafted once players unlock their patterns.
Inspired by Star Wars
Added to the game as well are the wide range of Star Wars-themed armor ornament sets and accessories. Each class can now have a look that's inspired by troopers and royal guards of the Galactic Empire. These include the Covert Ranger for Hunters, the Royal Protector for Warlocks, and the Shock Enforcer for Titans.
There are also additional accessories like the Interstellar Warfare Antiquities Collection which features the DS-2 Shell, the Advanced Prototype Jumpship, and the Repulsorlift Jumpspeeder. New finishers and emotes meanwhile are now available in the Eververse and allow Guardians to conquer the galaxy in the name of the Galactic Empire.
Destiny 2 invites players to explore the mysteries of the solar system and experience responsive first-person shooter combat. They get to unlock powerful elemental abilities and collect unique gear to customize their Guardian's look and playstyle. Features of the game include a cinematic story, challenging co-op missions, and different PvP modes alone or with friends.
