The latest DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr has been released and introduces the Hierophant Class. It allows players to take on the role of an Inquisitor who's able to call in multiple acolytes and form a squad.
Like the other classes, the Hierophant Inquisitor is also from an Imperial background. Specifically, they're former Ministorum priest who attracted the interest of the Inquisition as a devout Hierophant. Initially starting as an interrogator, they now serve the Inquisition in its sacred mission.
In addition to having new abilities and new gear, the Hierophant can use different Blessings in battle. While the Hierophant usually stays away from the heat of the battle, they are more than capable in protecting themselves. The Hierophant carries a weapon in one hand and a relic in the other. In addition, members of the Retinue can be equipped with their own gear and can be managed both on the Command Bridge and during missions.
The Confessor
Now this class offers three subclasses that give a different starting experience and three diverse ways to play the game. There's the Confessor who confronts heretics with burning conviction and a thirst for truth and justice.
This subclass begins the game with the Bolt Pistol and the Dialogous Staff. Meanwhile, his armor is light with the Confessor Robe providing less damage reduction but gives increased greater movement speed. Then there's Blaze of Devotion" skill sends holy flames through the Acolytes which causes their kills to explode and ignite nearby enemies.
The Cardinal
The Cardinal is some whose faith in the Imperium is unwavering. The Cardinal carries the Plasma Pistol and the Libram, more than ready to teach the heretics a sacred lesson.
His Hierophant Vestment gives him additional maximum Devotion. His skill "Reverence of the Acolyte" empowers Retinue Members with the ability to heal the Hierophant with each hit, among other effects.
The Drill Abbot
The Drill Abbot is some who won't take no for an answer from his Acolytes. He stands in an imposing and all-resistant Militant-Apostolic Armor. His "Righteous Zeal" lets him infuse Retinue Members with fury and give each of them Berserk Tokens. He brings a Chainsword and a Dialogous Staff to the fight and is ready to punish the enemies of the Imperium in close battle, if needed.
