A new update has been released for RPG Developer Bakin which introduces enhanced battle features. Version 1.13, which is the last major update of the year, also adds support for importing models in VRM format along with a host of other features.
The enhanced battle features were implemented to ensure that the battle system works for the players. These include:
- Additional skills that can be used when equipped, and the item's ability to grant specific "states".
- Registration of critical hit effects, and changes in critical damage rate.
- "Reflection Rate" ability to reflect skills.
- Add more information that can be obtained during battles using battle events.
- Feature to interrupt the "order of action" using battle events.
- Feature to specify "State Granting" ability using "Tags".
- Improved damage formula setting dialog.
VRM Format
Players should also be happy to know that models in VRM format, which are commonly used for 3D avatars, can now be imported directly into the game. In addition, the materials and motions that are preinstalled in Bakin are automatically assigned upon import. With this, VRM models should be more easily used as character models for game creation.
Resource Pack
Releasing along with the new update are the 3D Model Resource Pack DLCs which offer players a wider range when it comes to customization options. There’s the Modern Hospital Pack where players get to create a modern hospital facility complete with exam rooms, treatment rooms, and even inpatient rooms.
The Leafy Lodge meanwhile has players come up with maps that have floating lofts and lodges in the woods. Finally, the third is the medieval castle-themed and pixel art-inspired PixelScapes Castle Pack where players can create maps with a castle in the middle of nowhere.
By the way, these three resource packs are currently being offered at 10% discount until December 31.
