The Lightless World is Coming Soon to Early Access

Developer The3rd.One Games announced that The Lightless World is coming soon to early access. The game dubs itself as a reverse horror action RPG co-op game. It's set in a cosmic horror universe where players get to control demonic god protagonists.

Now some of you are probably asking what reverse horror means. What it simply means is that in the game, you get to take on the role of a "bad guy." In particular, you take on the role of one of the archdemons. Now isn't that exciting?

Character Progression

As you delve deeper into the game, you not only get to collect powerful items but also discover new abilities. There are even encounters with different unique characters. It goes without saying that you can customize the build and playstyle of the hero to adapt to the challenges present in each run.

The progression also involves a rather intricate talent tree. Through this branching system you get the chance to customize and specialize the abilities of the characters which further shapes the unique playstyle. Meanwhile, as you obtain experience points and level up, you can earn skill points which can then be used in the talent tree. The thing to remember is that when unlocking a specific talent, you'll to have points assigned in prerequisite skills in that path. Don't forget as well that the choices made in the talent tree can influence the strengths, weaknesses, and even playstyle of the character.

Face the Challenges

The game has you fighting against a wide range of enemies, from swarms of lesser humans and all the way to formidable angelic bosses. To win, you’ll need to have the right strategy in battle while making sure that you effectively use the abilities of your character.

Across the map, there are also random events to encounter along with hidden secrets and challenges. These can include the likes of temporal anomalies which can change gameplay mechanics and all the way to mysterious portals which offer valuable rewards or increased difficulty.

Prepare to be immersed in a visually stunning and ever-shifting environment. It's one that's been filled with atmospheric lighting and intricate details. The dynamic soundtrack meanwhile adapts to the intensity of the gameplay which in turn heightens the sense of tension and excitement.
