The Nightwatch is Launching this October

Developer Astrow Games announced that The Nightwatch is officially coming out on October 23. Even before the game launches, players can look forward to trying out the final demo which releases sometime before October.

That said, what can players expect when the game launches? Back in July, the studio revealed in a post that there's going to be three bosses. Each one is planned to be related to a common enemy in the game. Of the three, two of the bosses have already been designed and implemented. The first is a Tentacle boss and players can look forward to experiencing the usual bullet hell fight. Basically, it means there's waves of bullets and tentacles attacking the player when they get close to the boss. Once this boss is defeated, it either finishes a run if it was the objective or players obtain a powerful trinket as a reward.

To reach this boss, players need to find the challenge runestone which starts a challenge fight that opens a portal to the boss room. To find objectives, simply look for arrows that sould be displayed at the start of the run. It also means that players have to walk and explore when they're in the room

The Second One

While there is already a second boss, the studio shared that the boss fight for this one is still in the balance phase with the difficulty and the accessibility being tweaked. It's an Imp boss which sends waves of imps to the players as it watches from its throne. More information are planned to be released once the studio is satisfied with the final result.

The Third One

Not much has been revealed so far for the third boss. Not that surprising since even the design remains to be in the experimental phase. Still, what we do know is that it's set to be related to the new "Eye" enemy.

The Nightwatch invites players to fight their way across hordes of monsters as they explore the dark rooms of the wizard tower. Along the way they get to upgrade items and skills, among others. Wishlist the game on Steam now.
