A new expansion is now live in the free-to-play RPG IdleOn - The Idle MMO. The Rift expansion is finally here and there are a lot of new content to enjoy.
Let's start with the new rewards added. There's Killroy Prime which is added as Rift Reward #10 and unlocked at Rift 51. Meanwhile, Sneak Mastery has been added as Rift Reward #11 and this one is unlocked at Rift 56. What else? Five new Killroy purchases are now in Killroy's Shop in world 2 and as usual you'll need skulls to buy these.
You can also look forward to World 5 mobs appearing at times in Killroy especially if you reach World 6. World 6 mobs meanwhile appear in Killroy only if you reach the final World 6 mob. Finally, a new Gemstone feature was added to Sneaking. This is unlocked once you complete the 1st Mastery within Sneaking Mastery.
Balance Changes
Aside from the new content, the Rift expansion also introduces balance changes. The HP of Doors in Sneaking for example has been lowered significantly. By how much? About 1.5x for the early doors and all the way to 20x for the last door. Another change was that the Stealth needed to not be detected in Sneaking was also lowered. It's been reduced by as much as 1.20x for the early floors with the last floor needing less than 100x stealth.
The EXP gain for Jade and Sneaking on some floors have also been lowered by at most 1.5x. The Stealth REQ nerfs though doesn't change the fact that the Jade/Exp way is still easier.
Finally, the total account LV needed to unlock new characters increased.
IdleOn - The Idle MMO is a free-to-ply RPG and launched in Early Access on Steam in early April of this year. It's a game where all your characters grind 24/7. Based on the roadmap revealed by developer Lavaflame2, early access should run for about 764 days. That's a little over two years. One of the plans is a launch on mobile platforms via iOS.
