Developer Superkami announced that the full version of Sengoku Dynasty is finally out. With this, players now have a new way to experience feudal Japan. There's a lot to unpack and today we'll take a look at what version 1.0 has to offer.
In the game, players get to build a life, cultivate a community, and start a dynasty in a region that has been devastated by famine and war. They get to play solo or in co-op multiplayer as they explore a beautiful open world.
Daimyō System
Version 1.0 of the game introduces players to a new and strategic layer to the gameplay which is the Daimyo System. What it does is divide Nata Valley into different regions where not only the infrastructure is in shambles but has also been overrun by hostile factions. Each faction prevents villagers from exploiting local natural resources. To show people that they are safe, players need to convince them to be part of their cause. Among others, they'll need to defeat enemies to free as many regions as they can. Once these happen, players get access to rare resources and unique recipes and technology.
Character Customization
One of the key features of Sengoku-era Japan is that female leaders and warriors played a significant role. This means that players can now play as a female character. There's also a new editor where players can customize their character. Not only can they choose their gender, but also other features like head type, hairstyle, eye color, various skin imperfections, and name, to name a few.
Family Quests
Sengoku Dynasty being a dynasty, players have a chance to grow their family. With the full version, they can look forward to a new questline. Here they can choose a love interest from the opposite gender, engage in romantic dialogues, get married, and ultimately become a parent.
Once that happens, players are then tasked with giving much needed childcare items. They can then send the child off to get education in the temple. The quest line then stops right before graduation though players have a choice to pass their dynasty onto their heir and play as a new character who continues that legacy.
