The Valentails Day Update Now Live in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter

Odd Bug Studio announced that "Valentails Day" is now live in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. This free update features new crafting blueprints which turn the rodent protagonist into a Cupid-like figure.

That's right! We get to see the heir to the Warden of the Wastes Arlo being adorned with a new winged armor set and have a bow covered in hearts. There are two ways to unlock the new Cupid armor-set.

For those just starting a new game, the Cupid helmet and cuirass crafting blueprints can be obtained once you finish the "Intro" main quest. These should be added automatically to the inventory. Now for those who are continuing from a saved game after the "Intro" main quest, the items and crafting blueprints should be automatically added to the inventory.

Integrated Intel GPU Update

In a post, the studio revealed that the new update resolves the launch crashes for systems that were using integrated Intel GPUs. This was made possible by adding a new Texture Quality setting from within the main menu. The studio also mentioned that they're aware of Fast Travel crashes that can happen after long play sessions on those systems. The good news is that these crashes don’t corrupt saves or block progress. These are mainly the result of a limitation of the hardware.

Other changes and fixes include:

• Texture Quality setting: Intel GPU users can now launch the game using the Low setting.

• Subtitle Size setting: Adjust text size to make sure every rat gets the perfect reading experience.

• Steam Cloud Save Support: Transfer saves seamlessly between Windows and MacOS.

• Fixed controller issues on MacOS (M1 and above).

• Fixed the 'Load Game' menu not opening if a save file was corrupted.

• Fixed a game freeze caused by Mudwyrms using the Dig circle marker attack simultaneously.

• Fixed WereOwl Pauldron items displaying awkwardly while sprinting.
