In the game, Earth has experienced an unmitigated disaster and has forced civilization to withdraw deep underground near the core of the planet. This Inner Earth has a large and intricate subterranean world within the planet. Life in the world below is unforgiving and to survive, you'll need to have skill, wit, and determination. Get to travel across treacherous tunnels and even carve new paths when it looks like the road ahead is starting to fade away. Get to discover the the mysteries of a lost civilization while obtaining powerful ancient technology. All of these are important especially if you want to return to the surface.

Time to Dig

Return from Core has you dig deeper through the Earth's inner core carrying a lantern in one hand and bringing a pickaxe in the other. Meanwhile, you'll also need to use explosives when carving a new path or even defend against the various terrors in the tunnels like white wolf spiders, slithering sand worms, and even robotic rodents. Whatever resources you manage to get your hands on, make sure to use them to craft new weapons, gear, and tools. You can also create a customizable base to store those essential supplies. You can also build a garden to get food and ingredients, and this can be automated for passive harvesting. Don't forget to take naps in order to recover from expeditions.

Making Friends

In the game, you'll get the chance to cultivate friendships with adorable monster girl companions, these are humanoid hybrids having powerful abilities and supernatural traits. To gain their favor you'll have to learn their distinct personalities. Once you get to make friends with them, you can then use their skills to take on quests on the surface. Lilith for example is a good guide since she provides useful hints and tips. Cartier on the other hand is enigmatic wolf girl that has a temper. Then there's Mona, who has the innate ability of self-healing but is wary of humans.
