The upcoming update for Path of Exile 2 is set to add a lot of new content. Return of the Ancients releases May 29 and with it introduces two new Ascendancy Classes.
The Spirit Walker
The new ascendancy of the Huntress is called the Spirit Walker. This master of Azmerian spirits has the ability to channel the primal power of Stag, Owl, and Bear. By attuning to different wisps, the Spirit Walker is able to gain devastating abilities that include summoning stampedes, empowering projectiles with feathered boons, or fighting alongside a ferocious bear companion.
Players can choose to specialize in one spirit or unite all three to awaken the hidden power of the Sacred Wisps, which enhances each aspect of their arsenal. That's not all since the Spirit Walker can harness Idolatry to get those massive bonuses with Idol socketables in their equipment. This gives her greater power to minion focused builds, and can even tame beast bosses.
The Martial Artist
For the Monk, its new ascendancy is the Martial Artist. It can create illusions that can echo in attacks and manifest spectral bells that shatter enemies. In addition, the Martial Artist can even release devastating resonance with every critical strike.
The Martial Artists can fortify their body with stone to endure and empower blows. Meanwhile, runic tattoos let the Martial Artist socket runes directly into their form. Ultimately, it allows the Martial Artist to transcend limits with the Way of the Stonefist, transforming gloves into devastating weapons of immense power and unlocking a vast array of deadly build possibilities.
New Storylines
With the upcoming update, the four leagues introduced during Early Access now have new storylines along with a dedicated crafting system and even expanded mechanics. Overall, a total of six new storylines are to be added in the game. Read more about it here.
