Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room announced that two new videos have been released for RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The first one gives us a peek at the Brujah along with the other clans that's going to be in the game. The second video meanwhile features a deep dive into the mechanics of the game.
Meet the Clans
The first video offers a look into what each clan has to offer. In particular, each clan comes with its own Disciplines and even playstyle. This means there are different ways for players to learn more each clan. The Brujah for example is all about brute force while the Banu Haqim’s prefers that cloak-and-dagger approach. Meanwhile the Ventrue focuses cutthroat manipulation with Tremere preferring to use blood magic. The two studios revealed that more details on the Disciplines of each clan are going to be released sometime this year. You can watch the video here.
A Deep Dive
The second video features The Chinese Room Creative Director Alex Skidmore and TCR Community Manager Joshua Matthews. The two talked about an early-game mission focusing on the player character Phyre infiltrating an abandoned warehouse. As players go about looking for clues about the mysterious mark on their hand, they'll need choose the actions they do wisely. They can choose for example to meet those unruly ghouls or confront the secret keeper of the court like Willem. Considering that Phyre acts as "The Sheriff" of this Court, the choices made has an impact on how the world perceives them. Check out the video here.
In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, players get to take on the role of Phyre and choose to be part from one of four clans which are the Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim and Ventrue. The choice of clan is important since one of the key features of the game is Feeding. What it does us strengthen the abilities of Phyre which is based on the nature of the clan that's chosen.
Other abilities include Telekinesis, which allow players to distract enemies by lifting and throwing objects. They can also use these to pull enemies closed and deliver the final blow. Heightened Senses meanwhile allows players to see things which others can’t see or even hear.
