Two New Heroes are Coming to Darkest Dungeon II this December

The first ever DLC for Darkest Dungeon II is set to be released this December. The Binding Blade is adding two new playable heroes to the game. These two new heroes join the roster bringing with them unique trinkets, signature items, even and fully voiced backstories. There's also going to be a new roaming mini-boss so be on the lookout for that.

The first of the new heroes is the Duelist. A disciplined and deadly combatant, this one has the capability to tactically switch between Aggressive and Defensive stances. Having this hero in your roster is also a good idea since the Duelist can ignore enemy defense as well as be able to strike back with Riposte.

The second playable hero is the Crusader, which is actually a fan-favorite. This marks its return to the game and has the ability to smite foes where they stand. As such, he can be considered as an indispensable front rank hero. The abilities of the hero meanwhile extends to being able to withstand those punishing blows and strike down enemies with the righteous blade. He can also serve as support for the team through healing and stress recovery.

In addition to the two new heroes, a new roaming mini-boss known as The Warlord is now part of the game. This should add a new element of danger.

Released in May 2023, Darkest Dungeon II is a rogue-like turn-based road trip of the damned. Players get to form a party, equip their stagecoach, and then journey across a decaying landscape on a quest to prevent the apocalypse. Since its official launch, players have been introduced to a world that's filled with grim horrrors and challenging decisions. The game has received critical acclaim with a "Most Positive" rating on Steam from more than 10,000 reviews.
