Ocelot Technologies has released Update 0.8 for Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds. There is a lot of new content for players to enjoy. These include the addition of new skills particularly for the Rogue, Pyromancer, and Engineer schools.
For the Rogue, the new skill is called Wraith. It allows players to disappear from enemy sight, making them invisible and undetectable for three turns. During this time, they should be able to move freely. Meanwhile for the Pyromancer, it's the Chainfire Blast. It releases a fireball which then ricochets between targets and hits up to five enemies in a single cast.
Finally, the Engineer gets what's known as a Wildcard Surface. This is basically a new surface type that comes with its own unique look along with an unpredictable effect. Each one acts as a randomly selected existing surface and applies the effect of that surface. Players should be able to recognize a Wildcard when they see one. It's worth noting that some of the card-themed Engineer skills put these surfaces directly into play. Wildcard Attack for example deals damage while at the same time places a Wildcard Surface beneath an enemy. Wash The Deck changes all surfaces within its range into Wildcard surfaces.
Update 0.8 also introduces the Hero Mode which you can read more about here. Check out the complete patch notes here.
Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds tells the story of an ancient entity that stirs in the darkness and now has cast a veil of shadows across the land, threatening all of humanity. With tensions already running high in the newly discovered continent of Andra, the growing menace has escalated what was already a dire situation.
Players take on the role of a fledgling who is on their first mission for the Heroes Guild. This later unwittingly draws them into the heart of this unfolding crisis. The secrets they uncover and the choices they make result in shaping the path as they navigate this perilous world.
