The latest Quality of Life Update for Wayfinder is now live on both Steam and PlayStatiuon 5. The update introduces a bunch of new features and improvements. In addition, it's likely going to be the final update before the game's 1.0 release.
Discord Invites
The highlight of the new update is the changes made to the multiplayer features. The first is in relation to Discord Invites. In particular, those on Steam can now invite other players to join their game directly through Discord. This should make it easy to team up for the adventures. It appears to be easy as well. All that needs to be done is to create an open Discord invite and then share it with the community. They can also send an invite through the Discord DM or request to join by right-clicking a player’s username over in Discord.
The Lobby Browser
Improvements have also been made to the game's Lobby Browser feature. Players can now customize their search criteria to find the perfect match for their play style. They can also use this to join random games for a spontaneous adventure. According to developer
Airship Syndicate, the reason for this change is because a lot of players wanted a quick way to get into the lobbies with their friends.
Communication is Key
There's no question that in the game, communication is key. Good news for all players! An in-game chat has now been added. This means players can not only strategize, and even socialize, with ease.
Other Changes
There are also a lot of other changes that are introduced with this new update. There's the expanded housing system. With this, players can now personalize their in-game home through a new multi-story apartment that features a lot of rooms, vaulted ceilings, and even an airy balcony. This results in the house becoming a true reflection of the players' creativity, adventure, and achievements.
Another important change is the significant improvements made to melee combat control which has enhanced responsiveness and precision. There's now full freedom when it comes to the direction of all attacks. Players can also look forward to experiencing smoother and more fluid melee interactions.
