Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced that the DLC 2 for SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream is now available. Titled as "“Worlds Beyond II," it introduces new content that include two SWORD ART ONLINE Alternative "Gun Gale Online" characters. There are also new scenarios and new monsters. Players can also look forward to the expanded gameplay options.
New Characters
The new characters introduced to the game are Pitohui and M. They're from the SWORD ART ONLINE Alternative "Gun Gale Online" spin-off series. Pitohui is a mysterious woman striking a sharp visage while at the same time bringing her arsenal to bear. M on the other hand is a "grizzled" veteran who's not afraid to do anything for "love" and holds the line.
Aside from the new characters, there's also a new additional scenario. Other new content are the costumes, weapons, and stamps for additional characters. There's also additional player card background.
A New Gameplay Experience
The game is the first-ever large-scale and live-service multiple adventure set in the iconic series. It offers players the chance to go on the adventure solo or play online with a maximum of 20 players.
The game follows the story of a new system being added to the world of ALfheim Online. However, a malfunction has resulted in all the worlds and all the timelines colliding. This has created a unique setting, along with a challenging environment, for Kirito and his friends.
SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream offers different modes. In single-player mode players get to relive the story and they fight against enemies from the past. They also go on adventures to learn more about what’s behind the anomalies and discover what caused the outburst in Galaxia.
Online-only mode meanwhile has players for a team of up to 20 other players to participate in different activities like Co-Op Quest where they need to clear missions which is followed by challenging a boss at the end of it. Then there’s Boss Raid where players need to go all out and fight against a giant boss enemy that needs cooperation and strategy to get the win. Finally, Free Roam has players freely explore and meet other online players to enjoy a co-op experience.
